Wow, just one of those weeks that takes a wrong turn. Down an unmarked road. At night. In the rain.
It was vacation week, although “week” seems a bit generous as it started a day late and ultimately had two days chopped from the end. At best an annoyance when you look forward to something all year, and for which you’ve paid four-months in advance. It was good while it lasted, it just didn’t last long enough. One of life’s little disappointments. Life just has a way of continuing to pile them on, however. But there’s no benefit to gripe about people and circumstances we can’t control. Just smile and wait for the next kick in the teeth. 😀
On the bright side, even though it meant leaving the Myrtle Beach timeshare to sit empty for the last two days, it was nice to come home to a dog who’s always happy to see me, and cats who are always happy to see their next meal.
And there’s always next year.
Well, I recorded two episodes of Light In The Darkness (LITD) today, three if you count the one I did twice, so I’m officially caught up. My last episode of Almost Live Radio was on May 1, so I hope to get a new show out tomorrow, as well as at least one more LITD. LITD has been a blessing, but hope to stay a little ahead. Who could believe I was 8-9 episodes ahead before I went to the beach?
Just watched the last episode of Monk. Great two-episode finale. Cried like a baby at the end. Have to laugh at myself. Glad they tied up the loose ends and left it very positive and open-ended.
I attended a study last Sunday morning of “The Man Who Lived Among The Tombs” whose was possessed by a legion of demons. (Mark 5, Luke 8, Matthew 8). One individual seemed insistent that it was only a case of mental illness. Personally I have to vote for the accuracy of the bible.

Just found out that my ex-girlfriend married the guy she left me for. Based on the little I know it’s hard to predict success, but you still hope for the best for people. It seems to go that anyone I’ve had a relationship with eventually gets married. I don’t know about every case, but I don’t know of many where that wasn’t the case. Maybe even my ex-wife will re-marry. Probably the day after she gets her last alimony check. Pity da foo’.
So it goes.
